A New Family Tradition
This Christmas I wanted to start a new tradition. One that was about God and not gifts and getting. I stumbled upon the Jesse Tree. After a little research, I feel this was what I had been searching for.

Mr. Growls turns one!
Oh My Goodness. Its gone by so fast we've grown up. At least to one. We just couldn't decide on what to do for our Little Mr. Growls' birthday. Pokemon? Superhero? or Adventure Time? Of course the last one won. :D Our cupcakes I made pink with Princess Bubblegum's crown and blue BMOs. And of course with some Jake party bags! Mr. Growls got to spend his first party with friends and family. Sadly since I was pretty emotional and running around everywhere, I didn't get too many photos! (bad mommy :P)
Happy birthday little man we love you so much!!

Cloudcroft trip
This weekend we went on a short mini vacation up to the mountains here in New Mexico.
Cloudcroft is a small village in the Sacramento Mountains, and very much a small village.

These are a few things I've learned here in the beginning. Plus what curriculum we're using,

Halloween
Happy Halloween everyone! This year we're a witch and a little ninja turtle. I've noticed as the years have gone by, trick or treating is not something really practiced in the neighborhoods anymore. (probably for a good reason) Thankfully there is plenty of churches, government buildings, and private business sectors how provide a safe kid friendly halloween event. This year we went to Explora in Old Town Albuquerque. There the museum was open with crafts and candy! Next we to the Sheraton Hotel by Coronado Mall in Uptown. There they had a carnival and one whole floor of rooms dressed up so kids could trick or treat! very cool.
What did you goes as?
